It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend Frank Gaylon Saltzgiver who died December 1, 2022, surrounded by loved ones.
Frank was born March 13, 1934, to Alverda May Kearl and Roma Orlando Saltzgiver in Salt Lake City, Utah, the eleventh of their twelve children. In 1951, during his senior year at West High School, Frank met Carol Blackson, the cute little blonde he tried to impress outside the soda shop. They were married November 25, 1953, and welcome four children--Steven, Michael, Susan, and Lynda--into their home.
Frank is survived by his four children Steven (Vickie) Saltzgiver, Micheal (Marianne) Saltzgiver, Susan (Robert) Brockbank, and Lynda (Gary) Glade; his brother, Earl Saltzgiver; 15 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Frank is preceded in death by his wife of nearly 70 years, Carol, who passed earlier this year. He is also welcomed to his heavenly home by his parents, son-in-law, Robert Brockbank, ten siblings, and many other loved ones and friends.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, December 7, from 6–8 p.m. Funeral services will be held the following day, Thursday, December 8, 2022, beginning at noon. Both the viewing and the funeral will be held at the Latter-day Saint Meetinghouse located at 762 E. 1200 North, Orem, Utah. Interment will be at Orem City Cemetery (1520 N. 800 East, Orem, Utah) following the funeral service.
