Fred Samuel Paget's Obituary
Fred Samuel Paget 92, passed away at his home in Murray, Utah on December 25, 2019.
A viewing and visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Friday, January 3, 2020, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building located at 5605 South Vine St, Murray, Utah. Funeral services will be at 11:00 at the same location. Following the funeral, interment with military honors will be at Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park at 17111 1700 W, Bluffdale, Utah.
Fred was born November 19, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Roy Paget and Anna Marie Johnetta Keipe Paget. He was raised in Salt Lake City and Lake Point, Utah. He went to West High School before enlisting in the U.S. Navy at the end of World War II. Having many interests and talents he worked at a variety of jobs throughout his life including security at MGM Studios, electronics assembly, designing cable TV distribution systems and facility management. He owned a furniture transfer business and a janitorial services business. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in may capacities including as a missionary at the Church's Murray Cannery and as a volunteer at the Jordan River Temple. He loved music and was a gifted singer. He wrote poetry, worked with leather and loved cars, particularly fast cars and hot rods.
Fred has five brothers and one sister: Ralph, George, Donald, Allen, Lloyd and Marie. He is survived by Allen and Lloyd.
Fred has three children: Robert Roy Paget (deceased), Wendy Jean Paget Kethan, and Jon Guy Paget. He has thirteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
