Frederick "Ted" Andrew Johnson II's Obituary
Frederick “Ted” Andrew Johnson II, 70, of Eureka, Utah, passed away on February 14, 2025 at his home.
Ted was born January 2, 1955, in Payson, Utah to Frederick and Jeannine Johnson. Ted grew up in Eureka where he graduated from Tintic High School. He continued his education at Weber State finishing at Trade Tech. He then went on to pursue a career in mining as a maintenance mechanic. Ted was also well versed in many other skilled trades. His career took him all over the United States but his love for Eureka always brought him home.
Ted had one child, Trudi, and three beautiful grandchildren, Kyle, Tyson and Jamie and one great-grandchild Icelyn. He met his soul mate Bobbie, while working in New Mexico in 1989. Together they traveled and worked in many states and made countless friends along the way.
Ted was the life of the party and had a tremendous love of music from any genre. He spent his free time helping friends with their projects, sharing his knowledge with those who were interested, driving the back roads, touring the mines around the area and playing guess that tune with family and friends. He was affectionately known around Eureka as Uncle Ted.
Ted is survived by his daughter Trudi (Richard) Lingle; His three grandchildren Kyle Johnson, Tyson Johnson and Jamie Stagg; His great-grandchild Icelyn Johnson; His sister Janice Boswell and brother Paul Johnson; His Nieces Annette Fields, Shelly Stansfield and Natalie Boswell; his nephew Adam (Kimberly) Riley and many great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his soul mate Roberta “Bobbie” Laguna ; his parents Frederick and Jeannine Johnson; his sister Nancy Riley; his brothers Roger and Lloyd Johnson.
A celebration of Ted’s life will be held at 12:00 PM on March 1, 2025, at the Elks Lodge located at 285 W Main St, Eureka, Utah, there will be an opportunity during the celebration to share your memories of Ted. There will be a luncheon following the services.
