Frederick Hugh Thatcher's Obituary
Frederick Hugh Thatcher, 86, passed away peacefully of natural causes on November 29, 2025. Up until the end he was with his sweetheart of 66 years, Connie Rae Thatcher. His loved ones are grateful he enjoyed a joyful Thanksgiving and his final day with them.
Raised in Jarbidge, Nevada, Fred grew up hunting and fishing-hobbies he carried throughout his life. In 1958 his sister Carole introduced him to Connie, and they married the following year. Fred served in the Air Force and later worked at Hill Field Air Force Base in Utah, where together they raised three children: Doug, Cindy and Marie. After retiring early, he pursued his passion for collecting and selling antiques. Fred cherished lifelong friendships, laughing and a ton of dancing.
We'd like to thank our extended family in Jarbidge, as well as Brook and Miriam for taking such good care of Fred in his final days.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Thelma, sister Carole Marx, son Doug Thatcher, and daughter Cindy Tucker. He is survived by his wife Connie, daughter Marie (Dennis Turner), 5 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In accordance with his wishes, a graveside service will be held in early summer in Jarbidge, Nevada.
