Gay Gay. That’s what Joe and Tim Leonhardt called Gail. They were very lucky babies to have Gail care for them their first years. And Dave and I remain so very grateful that Gail and family provided such loving care and attention. We did not worry, what a wonder for new parents. Baby quilts, Raggedy Andy dolls, Holiday fabric decorations, the many wonderful handmade gifts she made us through the years keep Gail in our lives. And in our hearts ♥️. Rest In Peace Gay Gay.

Seldom have I met a smile that was as genuine and uplifting as Gail,s. Funny that I remember her as always with her heart felt smile. No pretence, not done to be polite but a smile that came from her heart and soul. I hope that those that grieve now will remember her as I not and feel the warmth of her love.
One time Gail convinced me to ride Disneyland’s “California Screamin” with her. (Our husbands both declined her invitation.) Scared to death, I closed my eyes as the ride took off, and it was immediately going too fast for me to pry them open. I finally peeked just as we started the loop-de-loop—my insides felt as if they would fall out! At the very second we were completely upside down, Gail screamed in my ear “I was born for this!!” Suddenly, I was thrilled to be having so much fun! Gail always made me laugh. Being with her was comforting and entertaining. She lifted my spirits. I could tell her anything and know we would probably laugh and she’d still like me. In the short 5 years we spent together, my world felt like I was on that Disneyland ride: full speed, stomach churning, upside down. It was reassuring to have such a dear friend yelling joyfully in my ear, reminding me that life is an adventure, that we were born for this! I love Gail and will miss her. ❤️ Marty
