Garrett Smith
February 18, 1980 to January 3, 2022
We are saddened to say Garrett passed away from a heart attack last Monday morning. He grew up in the Parkland, Washington, and graduated from Washington High School. He received a full football scholarship to the University of Utah and played all 4 years.
He is preceded in death by his sisters Stephanie and Kalyn (Penny). He is survived by his parents Eric and Micheale Smith, his wife Dawn and children Shea, Jamahl and Jeniece. He is also survived by sisters Kerie, Ashley and Faith and brothers Jamison, William, Jared and Chance.
Garrett lived a lot of his adult life in the Salt Lake City area. He was a history buff, loved rare coins and historical artifacts. Garrett had a personality bigger than life and lived his life to the fullest. He was a big kid at heart and truly enjoyed the simple things in life. He was a huge protector of his family and friends who meant everything to him. He leaves a big hole in all of our hearts.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, January 8, 2021 at Premier Funeral Services, 67 East 8000 South, Salt Lake City, Utah with a viewing prior to services starting at 10:00 am. Interment at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake City, Utah.
