Gary Kent Ricks' Obituary
Gary fought a courageous battle against esophageal cancer. Gary was sealed to the love of his life Amy Lee on February 18, 1994. They were married for 28 years. They raised 5 children with various special needs. Gary was very mechanical and could fix anything. Often people would come to him when repairmen couldn’t fix things because despite no technical training, he had a natural ability to solve mechanical issues. He loved woodworking and building models. Loveridge Machine Company was his primary job for 28 years. Also, he worked for Owen Wright Cadillac with Kelly his brother and would lunch together using his thrifty skills by ordering a chili and fry at Wendy’s. He also worked for the late Larry Miller as the best meticulous detailer Larry ever had. Gary loved his family and desperately wanted to return to work to support his family. He served for the church he loved being the Building Maintenance Specialist up to his death. He also served an LDS mission in the Arkansas / Little Rock mission.
Preceded in death by his parents, Pauline Cora Vander Werff Ricks and Allen Ricks, Sister-in-law Robbie Loveland Ricks, Brother-in-law Kenneth Arthur Petty and Mother-in-law, Donna Marie Lee.
Survived by his wife Amy and their 5 children David, Alisha, Megan, Tyler, and Craig. Siblings: Dale, Dean, Yvonne, Glen, Pam, Kim (Glenn), Kelly (Amy). In-laws: John Lee, Stephen Lee, Karen Rowley, Douglas Lee, Jennette Washburn and Katherine Lee.
He will be dearly missed!
