Gaye Laub Anderson's Obituary
Gaye Laub Anderson (June 5, 1934 - November 29, 2020) passed away peacefully on the morning of November 29 in the presence of family. The week before, her family was given the precious gift of being in her presence around the clock. She slipped into a deep sleep and showed no distress after her body decided there was no need to face another winter without her sweetheart of 55 years, Hartley Anderson. The two were an example faith and the power of never giving up—in marriage, business, and life.
Gaye was the daughter of Merril and Faunice Larsen Laub. She is the matriarch to nearly 100 family members, who will dearly miss her. She is survived by seven children: Corey (Bonnie), Farley (Helen), Curtis (Carolyn), Matthew (Chieko), Bruce (Susan), Val (Karie) and Rhonda Anderson-Lauritzen (Milan); and three sisters: Arline Parker (Boyd), Merrilyn Nelson (Neil), and VaLoy Hawkes (Blair). She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandson Adam.
She grew up in Tremonton, Utah. After marriage to Hartley, the two co-founded Mineral Resources International and a series of companies that extracts minerals from the Great Salt Lake for dietary supplements. They were true visionaries who influenced the natural health movement and helped millions. She had lasting friendships with people of every background and belief, all around the world.
She served in callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her entire life and exemplified acting on faith. Kneeling in family prayer brought a spirit of love into the Anderson home—which may have been the saving grace of seven rambunctious children.
Her large family had epic adventures camping, fishing, and creating a business together. Their theme song was “On the Road Again,” because of their frequent travels. They sang in the car, listened to motivational tapes, and never ran out of conversation.
Gaye received the Spirit of the American Woman Award for exceptional contribution to her community. Her legacy is as wide as the selfless love she showed to everyone.

Simultaneous virtual viewing (held via breakout rooms in Zoom):
• We will hold a virtual viewing where friends and relatives will be admitted and assigned to breakout rooms to talk with family member(s).
• Wednesday, December 2, 6:00 to 9:00 PM
• The following family members will receive friends virtually: Corey Anderson, Farley Anderson, Curtis Anderson, Val Anderson, and Rhonda Anderson-Lauritzen. Bruce, and Matthew will join the virtual viewing from 8:00-9:00 PM.

Graveside Service: A short graveside service will be held at the Bear River City, Utah cemetery at 2:30 PM. Loved ones who wish to attend in person are invited to do so. We do not currently have plans to broadcast the graveside service.
Masks will be required for all in-person activities, and we encourage virtual participation.
