Tina & Garry, Jari, Kevin & Martha: My heart goes out to you & your families in the loss of your mother. Your mom was such a wonderful and special person & like a second mother to me basically my whole life. One of my favorite things was listening to Auntie Gayle and Mom reminisce about all their times together over the years, especially the early years. One of my favorites (though I have no actual recall of this myself, being ~1 yr old more or less) was of me as a toddler in my sleep-sack pj’s coming to look for my parents at your parents place two spaces down in the mobile home park where our families first met in Fresno all those years ago!
I have so many wonderful memories of my own through the years of our families together, as well, and at the heart of them I remember your mom’s smile; her sense of humor & laughter; her strength & courage; her love, care & support! (And maybe being just a little bit scared at times of getting in trouble with Auntie Gayle! ;-} )
I loved your mother dearly & will always carry her with me in my heart. Gayle was a wonderful lady.
I love you all, as well, and keep you in my heart & prayers always.
