Geneil L Harris' Obituary
Geneil L. Harris, a resident of Fruit Heights, returned to her Heavenly Father on February 9, 2022. She resided for the last 10 months at Whisper Cove Assisted Living in Kaysville, Utah. Geneil was born in Tooele, Utah, the oldest of two children (younger sister Suzanne Bradford) to Mark Joel & Alice McBride Lindberg. She graduated from Tooele High School in 1949. She kept many high school friends throughout her lifetime. Geneil has always found peace in her knowledge of the gospel and the atonement of her Savior, Jesus Christ. She met her eternal companion, Gary S. Harris (preceded her in death) at Utah State University where she was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority. They married on March 19, 1952, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Geneil and Gary had six children, Nancy McKenna (Michael), Patricia Ann Harris stillborn, G. Scott Harris (Julie), Mathew C. Harris deceased (Stephanie), Rebecca Bybee (Brad), Angela Hammond(Brian). She was a dedicated wife and mother and served in many church callings and civic positions. She enjoyed skiing, golfing, and playing tennis. Many of her tennis friends reminisce about their competitive games, but always friendly matches and always celebrated each other's birthdays. She took much joy in gathering family and always had the perfect dinner that included many rolls and copious amounts of butter. Later in life, Geneil took her knowledge of fine china and worked at ZCMI, and won many awards for top sales because of her expertise in dinnerware. She also was the friendly face that clients first saw working at Blue Sister Salon. She made every customer's visit a joyful one. Geneil’s legacy is 20 beautiful grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Geneil has been fortunate in her life to have many wonderful friends who she has loved and they have loved her. She is an example to all with her kind eyes and generous smile.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the Fruit Heights 3rd Ward, located at 170 North Mountain Road, Fruits Heights, Utah with a viewing to begin at 9:30 am. Interment to follow at Malad City Cemetery, Malad, Idaho.
