Gerald Arnold Damron's Obituary
Gerald Arnold Damron, age 90, died peacefully at home on June 9, 2024, in Sandy, Utah. Born on February 24, 1934, in Deseret, Utah to Arnold Damron and Christina Hook Damron. He attended grade school at A C Nelson in Deseret before transferring to Hinkley, Utah for middle school and high school in 1948, graduating in 1952.
Gerald married the love of his life Mae Jean Petersen in the Salt Lake Temple on August 21, 1953. The couple resided in Deseret and Hinkley before moving two years later and making their home in the greater Salt Lake City area where he exceeded in many areas of business including being named Rookie of the Year, and Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table in insurance sales.
Gerald was a dedicated son, husband and father. He loved the outdoors, camping, hunting, boating and horseback riding.
Survived by Mae Jean Damron and five sons; Dennis Damron, Reno, Nevada; Gene (Suzan) Damron, Thornton, Colorado; Scott (Teresa) Damron, Mesquite, Nevada; Garry (Vickie) Damron, Draper, Utah; Jason (Janet) Damron, Thornton, Colorado; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Carl Damron.
