Glenda "Tippy" Wacker's Obituary
Glenda “Tippy” Wacker, age 79, passed away on the 6th of September in Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah after suffering a massive stroke. She was born on August 6, 1943 to Leonard and Elizabeth Thomas in Conroe, Texas. She was a 1961 graduate of Fort Morgan High School.
After attending UNC for a short time, she married Chick Butcher in 1962. They had two children, Bart and Brad, and over the years lived and worked in various places in Wyoming, Montana and Utah. They divorced in 1979. In 1982 she married Sam Wacker of Roosevelt, Utah, formerly from Fort Morgan, Colorado. Together they ran Four Star Fishing and Tool Rental Company in Roosevelt, Utah until Sam’s death in 2015.
Tippy was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Wacker; her father and mother, and brother Richard Thomas. She is survived by her son’s Bart Butcher (Tara) from Casper, Wyoming and Brad Butcher (Stephanie) from Fargo, North Dakota; sister’s Jann Bass from Johnson City, Tennessee and Beverly Thomas from Denver, Colorado; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Tippy was loved by many friends and family. Her kind heart and generous soul will be dearly missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life for Tippy will be held on Friday, October 7th at 2:00 pm at Riverside Cemetery in Fort Morgan, Colorado followed immediately by a reception at El Jacal Mexican Grill, 903 Main Street # 2089, Fort Morgan.
