Glenda Irene Talbot Wulfenstein Young's Obituary
Glenda Irene Talbot Wulfenstein Young passed away peacefully on November 26, 2023. Glenda was preceded in death by her husbands, Wilford Wulfenstein and Jay Young, parents Reed and Irene Talbot, siblings Daryl Talbot and Viola Fawcett, and son Russell. She is survived by her brother George Talbot, children Bevan, Janeth, Stanley, Kelly, Gary, Gina, Richard, 28 grandchildren and over 50 great grandchildren. Glenda grew up as a farm girl in Oak City, Utah where she learned the value of hard work and the importance of family. She graduated from Delta High School and went on to study at Dixie College. Glenda was athletic and was a cheerleader in high school and college. She also loved playing and coaching softball as well as teaching piano. Glenda was a very dedicated wife and mother. She served as a ward organist most of her adult life and often had additional callings. Glenda loved to share and went out of her way to make others feel important. She delivered homemade bread and handed out coveted pecan logs at Christmas to family and friends. She loved to garden and had a gift for growing things. Glenda always shared the bounty of her gardening efforts with those around her. She enjoyed family history work and dedicated innumerable hours to finding ancestors and helping others do the same. Glenda served as a temple worker for many years and served six senior missions. She always held firmly to the iron rod despite the many challenges she faced. Glenda faithfully endured to the end.
Services will be held at the Latter-day Saint meetinghouse at 60 E 1600 N, Orem, Utah on December 1, 2023. Viewing from 9:00 am to 10:45 am and funeral proceedings at 11:00 am.
Interment St George Cemetery, December 2, 2023 at noon.
