I am Carolyn’s oldest daughter and Mikes oldest sister. Glenn was a father to me and the first grandpa my three children ever knew. He was a huge part of our lives from his infectious laugh and amazing singing voice to us being the first family sealed in the Houston, Texas Temple. Rest in Paradise Dad.
I remember Glenn as such a talented man. He sang wholeheartedly and filled with joy. I also remember Glenn as a man who loved my dear friend, Cheryl. I’ll always remember what he told me at their engagement party. He said with that twinkle in his eye, “ l love her so much, I’ve never met anyone like her. she has such a childlike quality and a love for life.” Thank you, Glenn for loving Cheryl so much and for always being such a help to me. When I first met Glenn and Cheryl, he had a very long beard and mustache, which I later learned was for a church movie. My grandkids came to visit and Glenn was at the pulpit. My grandson looked at him for a minute then turned to me and said "Is that Jesus?!!? We've always gotten a good chuckle from that. Glenn had a beautiful voice and I'm sure he's enjoying sharing it with others who had gone on before him.
