Glenys Connie Paxton Perrero's Obituary
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Glenys Connie Paxton Perrero, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, at the age of 76, surrounded by her loved ones.
Glenys was born on March 5, 1950, in Fillmore, Utah. She lived a life defined by faith, family, service, and everlasting love. She married the love of her life, Jon Martin Perrero, on September 25, 1967, and together they built a home filled with laughter, hard work, devotion, and lasting memories. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Provo Utah Temple on March 19, 1977.
Together, Glenys and Jon were blessed with seven children: Shelly (Ryan) Thomas; Bret (the late Mundi and currently Angi) Perrero; Tiffany (Tyler) Ashman; Amber (Wade) Hanks; Tyson (Summer) Perrero; Jeff (Mandi) Perrero; and Jonny Perrero.
To know Glenys was to know selfless love. She spent her entire life pouring into her children, grandchildren, family, neighbors, and friends. Nothing was more important to her than the people she loved, and she made sure they knew it. She didn’t miss the moments that mattered—ball games, baby blessings, birthday parties, school events, holidays, and especially the infamous Perrero work parties.
Her strength was quiet but unwavering, and her love was unconditional. She gave of herself freely and completely, serving others with every fiber of her being. Whether delivering a meal, lending a helping hand, or simply showing up when someone needed her, Glenys left an imprint on countless lives. Her legacy is not found in what she accumulated for herself, but in the love, service, and example she gave to everyone else.
The gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meant everything to Glenys. Her faith guided the way she lived, loved, and served. She faithfully served in many church callings throughout her life and later fulfilled a lifelong desire to serve a mission in Olongapo, Philippines, from 2016 to 2017, alongside her sweetheart, Jon.
Later in life, Glenys was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Through every challenge, she faced her diagnosis with remarkable faith, strength, and courage. She rarely complained, continued to serve those around her, and remained focused on others. Her quiet resilience and unwavering determination were an inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Jon Martin Perrero; her seven children and their spouses; 30 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; her siblings: Gail (Carolyn) Paxton, Paul (Denise) Paxton, Sherry Lyman, Linda Livingston, and Duane (Anne) Paxton; her step-siblings Nan Harris, Jim Sheffield, and Jonny Sheffield; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, neighbors, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellsworth Paxton and Ella Rasmussen Paxton; her stepfathers, Marv Naylor and Wynn Sheffield; her sister, Julie Thurman; her daughter-in-law, Mundi Perrero; her brothers-in-law, Mike Lyman and Bill Livingston; her step-sisters, Faye Pennock and Laurie Sheffield Brown; and other loved ones who welcomed her home.
Though our hearts ache at her passing, we find comfort in knowing that families are eternal. The love Glenys shared, the sacrifices she made, and the example she set will continue to bless generations to come. She will be missed immensely, remembered always, and loved forever.
