Gloria Amalia Magdalain Jederan Shpack Perry's Obituary
Gloria Amalia Magdalaina Jederan Shpack Perry, 94, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2023 in her home in Payson, Utah.
Gloria was born on February 5, 1929 in New York City to Amalia Kassey and Vasile Jederan. She grew up in Manhattan and enjoyed summer outings and barbecues with her family on Long Island. Gloria enjoyed music from a young age, taking piano lessons at the Third Street Music Settlement. After two years of college she became a flight attendant for TWA in the late 1940s. She met her husband, George Shpack, at a NYC Opera performance of La Traviata. They married in 1951 and settled in New Jersey where they ran a flooring business together.
Gloria had a soft spot for animals, particularly her dogs and cats who offered her unconditional love and companionship. She was an avid equestrian rider and loved her horses Sweet Abandon, Sweet Ariel, and Royal Sundust. Gloria was also an accomplished artist who enjoyed painting with pastels and glazing ceramics. In her later years, Gloria built a business based on her love of nature and its universal designs, Harmonious Connections, selling and using crystals, feng shui, and the art of organizing.
