We have a cabin at Pine Creek Ranch and that is where we met Gloria. She was the Secretary of the Association for many years. She worked long and hard for all of us, including updating our documents, reading our meters, serving others, and helping make our Association a better place. When I became the Secretary, she helped me and showed me what I needed to do. I knew I could always ask her any questions and she would help me.
I know she loved going to the cabin, especially with her sister. Even with being as sick as she was, they always managed to make it to the cabin. She never let her illness get her down. She was always upbeat and took things as they came.
She was a wonderful lady and is going to be missed. All though she is gone, we know she is in a better place and free from the cancer. My prayers go out to your family.

To the Family of our Dear Gloria Stratton,
We were saddened yesterday, when we saw Gloria's obituary in the Deseret News. She was an extraordinary missionary, when we presided over the Franco-Belgian Mission in 1966-69. She also served with us in the mission office for some months. We could always count on her for her "Total Commitment" (which was our Mission Motto). She personified that motto. She was dependable, committed and very capable. Her commitment was evident when she came home for knee surgery and returned to complete her mission upon recovery.
We loved her and spent many days and hours together fulfilling our mission responsibilities and enjoying each others company. She will be greatly missed by many.
We send our deepest sympathy. We are sorry that we are unable to attend the service tomorrow.
Our best regard,
Former President and Sister James M. Paramore
Sister Stratton, as all of us Franco-Belgian missionaries knew her, was delightful! We remember how hard she worked, how fast she typed, how cheerful she ALWAYS was. She was the heart of the mission office - who can forget the Saturday night campfires on the grounds of the old Mission Home/Office in Brussels and her banana boat s'mores? We know Heaven is happy to have her back, because we missionaries knew she always made our lives a little more like Heaven on Earth. We send our prayers for comfort and peace to Gloria's family. With sincere condolences, Jerry and Alta Jaccard
We are so sad that Gloria passed away. If we could, we would be there for you but you are in our thoughts.
The girls talk all the time about being at the cabin. We had so much fun. Gloria was so generous with the use of the beautiful cabin.
I will never forget seeing Gloria at SL Airport a few years ago. She was flying to Seattle and so were Mark and I....on the same flight. What are the chances??
So grateful for the knowledge that Families are Forever. Miss you so much.
