Gloria Dawn Whitaker, born on: November 13, 1939 in Shoshone, Idaho, passed away November 03, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah
Gloria graduated Pocatello high school and is preceded in death by her son James (Jimmy) Roper Jr, her grandson Steed Yoshikawa, granddaughter Telissa Leigh Mitchell, husband Carl (Walter) Whitaker and her mother Minnie Nadine (Ryan) Keller.
Gloria “Jude” worked for Salt Lake City Police Department for 30 years. She started in records, moved into the position as a complaint taker and eventually settled into the position of dispatcher where she retired.
Gloria is survived by her sister Rene Bradley, her daughters Jerrie Yoshikawa and Jennifer Mitchell, her sons Jody Whitaker, Timothy Whitaker and Thomas Whitaker, multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Gloria passed away peacefully at St. Marks hospital surrounded by loved ones. A special thank you to St. Marks Hospital and Premier Funeral Home for their amazing help and kindness during this time, for allowing her the dignity she deserved in death... Thank you.
