Gordon Robert Lindeman's Obituary
Gordon Robert Lindeman, 82 of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away Monday, April 7, 2014. He was born on September 22, 1931 in Payson, Utah to Louise Reich and Ralph Albert Lindeman. He was raised and educated in Salt Lake City and attended South High School. Gordon married Ruth Landers on August 15, 1953 in Elko, NV. They had three children, Sheryl, Kurt, and Cory. He served in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1953 as a Military Police officer. He loved fishing and doing genealogy. He also enjoyed spending time in his yard working in his garden. Gordon worked for J&L Contracting Inc. where he retired at the age of 70 in 2001. He is survived by his children, Sheryl Spafford, Kurt (Janet) Lindeman and Cory (Jeneal) Lindeman; grandchildren, Torie (Maurine), Chad (Shantae), Kyle (Chris), Lori (Eric), Garrick, Shyana, and Tyson; and 8 great-grandchildren. Gordon was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; and parents, Ralph and Louise. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery 1342 East 500 South, Salt Lake City, UT with military honors preformed by the United States Air Force. The family would like to thank Holladay Health Care and Canyons Hospice for their love and care provided to Gordon.
