Grace L Eshelman's Obituary
Grace L. Eshelman, 82, of Salt Lake City, UT, formerly of Lancaster, PA, passed away November 28, 2025.
Born April 18,1943 to Alfred and Mary (Stephens) Wintsch, she was the second youngest in a close knit family of six children. She grew up in Lancaster City and attended McCaskey High School. She later received certification as a medical assistant and worked in home health. She was married for 39 years to her husband Frank B. Eshelman who preceded her in death. Grace moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to be closer to her daughter’s family after Frank’s passing.
Grace was known for her caring nature, good humor, love of poetry and song. She was strong in her faith and was a lifelong Jehovah’s Witness.
She is survived by her daughter Lydiabeth Layton (Jon), sister Maryalice Vega (Dale) and her adored grandson Eli Layton. Grace was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her baby daughter Tirzah, her parents Alfred and Mary Wintsch, brothers Bill and Ted Wintsch, and sisters Lydia Wintsch and Judy Oberholtzer.
A memorial of her life will be held on Saturday, December 13 at 5 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness 2240 S 600 E. She will later be interred beside her husband at Longenecker’s Cemetery in Lancaster, PA.
