Gregory Rex Losee's Obituary
Gregory Rex Losee
January 3, 1950 – September 24, 2025
With love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Gregory Rex Losee, who returned home on September 24, 2025, at the age of 75. He was born on January 3, 1950, in Lehi, Utah, to Rex and Diane Losee.
From a young age, despite his interest in astronomy, Greg followed in his father’s footsteps, cultivating a passion for electricity and dedicating his life to the trade. Through hard work and perseverance, he became a Master Electrician and later established his own electrical construction company. Known for his knowledge, honesty, and willingness to help, Greg was always ready to lend a hand, whether solving a neighbor’s electrical problem or mentoring others in his field.
Greg’s faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ was the anchor of his life. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served a full-time mission in his youth and continued to serve in various callings throughout his life, including service missions in his retirement. He especially cherished teaching assignments and his years of service as a temple worker, where his quiet testimony touched many hearts.
On October 26, 1988, Greg and Becky Phillips were sealed for time and all eternity. Together they built a life filled with faith, love, and adventure, enjoying traveling, four-wheeling, camping, and visiting national parks. Family was Greg’s greatest joy, and he especially loved camping and fishing with those he held dear. Annual trips to his favorite outdoor spots—one of which, Fish Lake, always brought the hunt for the elusive “grande pascado”—became cherished traditions, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Greg is survived by his beloved wife and eternal companion, Becky; his dear mother, Diane Losee; children Troy Losee (Ilene), Jeramie Richman (Cheyanne), Angie Richman, and Amy Estes (Richard); siblings Kurt Losee (Callie), Todd Losee (Elaine), and Michelle Peck (Greg); along with 8 cherished grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Rex Losee; his son, Kelly Losee; grandsons Brandon Losee and Weston Richman; and siblings Kelly Losee and Kerri Kopinsky.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at 1505 Timberwolf Trail, Orem, Utah. A viewing will be held at the same location that morning at 10:00 a.m.
The family would like to thank Sam and the staff at Beehive Homes – Provo for their excellent care and compassion on our behalf, as well as iCare Hospice for their knowledge and guidance in making Greg’s passing as seamless and peaceful as possible.
Greg will be remembered for his steadfast faith, his unwavering service, and the love he shared so freely with family, friends, and neighbors. His legacy of kindness and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew him.
