H. Roger Hales' Obituary
Roger received an honorable discharge from the U. S. Army while fighting a courageous battle in Viet Nam for his country, but lost his hard fought battle for life on Wednesday, July 15, 2015. He was born in Provo, Utah on February 13, 1942 to Hial Brown Hales and Helen Madeline Greenlee. Roger was a journeyman roofer and roofed many houses in the valley. He also had many other talents such as repairing automobiles and building things from scratch.
Roger is survived by his sons, Floyd Roger Hales and Roger Hales Lance. He is also survived by his sisters, Bonnie Lee Jones, Sheila Gay Winkler and Suzanne Cook. In addition, he leaves behind many cousins, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and sisters, Kathleen Gordon and Carol Lou Palmer.
Viewing will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Valley View 8th Ward LDS Chapel located at 4395 South Albright Drive (2070 East) in Holladay, Utah. Following the viewing, burial will be held in the Utah Veterans Memorial Park located at 17111 South Camp Williams Road in Bluffdale, Utah.
