Hal James Williams' Obituary
Hal James Williams, 83, passed away on February 1, 2025 in Orem, Utah at Covington Senior Living Home.
Born on July 15, 1941, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Eugene LaMar and Beverly McMillan Williams. Hal attended West High School in Salt Lake City, where he met and married Sharon Franck. Later marrying Judith Simmerman and Carol Rice. By trade Hal was a certified auto mechanic through Chevron Oil Company, and later ventured out as the owner/operator of Marble Makers Inc.
Hal loved to play! He always spent time with his kids and siblings playing neighborhood games, water skiing and scuba diving. With family and friends, he also loved attending Broadway Shows, Classic Car Shows, traveling to Civil War sites, many states in the U.S. and countries abroad. He found a passion in Culinary Arts and loved sharing his favorite dishes while enjoying conversation with all.
He is survived by his 5 children, Mary Elizabeth (Robert) Andrus, Allen Nicholas Williams, Donald James (Corina) Williams, Jessica Ann (Bruce) Binnquist and Darren Hal Williams, 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Shauna (Mas) Nakaya, Sally Williams, Eugene Scott Williams, Connie (Robert) Dyreng and Claudia Maddox, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who will all miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Beverly, and infant daughter Amy Williams.
A celebration honoring his life will be held for immediate family February 22, 2025.
Hal’s friendly nature and sense of humor were at the forefront throughout his life. He will always be remembered for his kindness, compassion, helpfulness, and generosity.
