I asked Dad a number of month’s prior to his passing to share the story of the meeting our Mother, he met our Mother while working on one of sister’s home doing repairs Mom was a good friend of our Aunt, Dad’s sister, Lucille. His eyes lit up when he continued his story and he said “I knew from the moment I met her we were to marry”. They met December 2nd 1957 and married 24 days later on December 26.
Although their courtship brief, the love and care for one another was endless.
After countless times of trying to start their family and longing to be parents they made the loving, selfless decision to adopt. And were blessed with 3 daughters, Siri, Jill and Tina. Mom and Dad chose Sandy Utah to raise their family and later moved to Cedar City for a short time and then to Arvada, and Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dad enjoyed working on his father-in-laws ranch in Nevada where he helped our Grandfather maintain horses and sheep raising. His love for horses became he and Mom’s hobby as they were able to fulfill his dream and adopted 2 Arabian’s from the Colorado Horse rescue. Then later raised a Colt from one of them.
One of Dad’s greatest callings was when he served for many years as an Usher for the LDS General Conferences in the Tabernacle on Temple Square. Another was while living in Colorado he and mother served faithfully as temple workers in the Denver Colorado Temple. We
