He was born on January 10, 1936 to Harry Joseph Ewing and Myrtle White Ewing and was the younger brother to sisters Margaret and Betty. Harry built a distinguished career as a draftsman, ultimately working in the Salt Lake City Engineering Department. His meticulous work and commitment to excellence earned him respect among colleagues and contributed meaningfully to the development of his beloved hometown. He retired from the city’s engineering department with pride in all he had accomplished.
Outside of his professional life, Harry was a man deeply connected to nature and the simple joys it offered. He was an avid runner into his 80’s, running with the Salt Lake Running Club and Larchmont Track Club. Harry accumulated boxes of medals and trophies, attesting to his competitive nature and love of the sport. He loved feeding birds and observing their habits—small moments that brought him great joy.
