Harry McCarthy's Obituary
Harry McCarthy, an amazing father and grandfather died April 3, 2017 peacefully in Bountiful, Utah at the age of 74 due to kidney failure.
Harry was born on May 14, 1942 in SLC, UT to Frank Gilson McCarthy and Anna Marie Pieper. He served in the Navy for 5 years and in the Utah Air National Guard for 18 years. He loved fishing; camping and exploring new places he had a real sense of adventure. He was a dreamer always wanting to travel the world.
His mother, father, and son Jay McCarthy precede him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle McCarthy, grandkids; Meisha Welch (Chad), Britany Rodriguez, Kiersten Cady (Zac), Monique McCarthy, and Brendan McCarthy and great granddaughter Delilah Welch.
We are having an open house/celebration on Saturday April 8th at 1:00-4:00 at my house (Michelle McCarthy) 263 E. 400 N. Bountiful, Utah 84010 Everyone welcome to come and celebrate his life. We will be doing an interment service with military honors on April 14, 2017 at 1:00 location will be Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park located 17111 S. 1700 W. Bluffdale, UT 84065. All are welcome to come.
I wish to thank Inspiration Hospice, the staff at Legacy House Bountiful, and The Life Care Center Bountiful, the staff at the Utah Dialysis Center SLC, Utah for all the great care and support you gave my dad and me when we needed it the most.
