Gramma Patty ALWAYS gushed about her Hay! I could feel Hay's spirit everytime Gma Patty and I would sit and talk -- Hay was definitely Gma Patty's heart and soul. I'm crying as I write this, partly out of sadness but mostly out of fondness of the memory of Hay's strong Warrior spirit and the impact she had on those she loved and those who loved her. I'm grateful thatGma Patty shared those experiences with me. May her spirit live on in those who shared her joy, wonderment and strength and may her family and friends always feel blessed to have had her to hold and love in this mortal world. Hayden was my little bff. She made me laugh and smile daily (even on her sassiest of days). Hayden made it known every morning that she couldn’t get ready or talk to mom or Grammy until her hair was done (majority of the time she asked for 8 braids and pigtails). Hay changed my life forever and I am beyond blessed that I was able to be apart of her fairly tail. She truly is the strongest girl I’ve ever met. I know she is dancing and running around with unicorns and butterflies and living in a true fairy tale.

Hay was like a sponge where we noticed such a vast amount of learning each year on our visits from Spokane. She was a leading expert on Disney films, characters and emotional scenes. This is where a lot of her understanding of human involvement developed while watching and interacting with her Grammy Patty. Grammy Patty reinforced all of Hayden's newest learnings by questioning, reenacting, reliving, and revisiting. It is the most remarkable method of teaching I have witnessed. Hayden was learning every moment of her days on earth with joy and smiles, perfectly content and happy. We get to have this image burned into our minds each time we envision her.
