Helen Marie Harms
March 16, 1930 - October 13, 2017
Helen Marie Harms, 87 passed away on October 13, 2017 surrounded by loving family members. Born March 16, 1930 in Hulett, Wyoming to Albert and Amelia Evenson, mom was the youngest of 14 children. Helen married Lloyd W. Harms on January 5, 1948 in Belle Fourche, South Dakota and later raised 5 sons in Sunset, Utah. Helen and Lloyd were later divorced. Helen then met Eugene D. Workman, her companion until his death in 2007. Helen was a homemaker, having developed culinary skills at an early age, she was always known for her delicious baked goods for which she became known as the “cookie lady” and tasty meals for which no one ever left hungry who came into her kitchen. Helen was preceded in death by Lloyd, her parents, thirteen siblings and Eugene. She is survived by her sons and their wives John (Gina) Harms, Garry (Susan) Harms, Aaron Harms, Brian (Joyce) Harms, and Greg (Deborah) Harms as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held October 20, 2017 from 10-11 AM
at Premier Funeral Services located at 5335 S 1950 W Roy, UT, followed by graveside services at Hooper City Cemetery at 11:30 AM. The Harms family extends a very special heart-felt thanks to the caring staff of Hospice Comfort WoRx and the wonderful loving staff at The Family Tree Assisted Living Center, West Point, UT.
