Helen Limas' Obituary
Elena Limas (nee. Alonzo) passed away on March 1st, 2023, at the age of 67 at the Holladay healthcare center, surrounded by her loving family.
Elena, or Helen as she was known by her friends and family, was born in Torrington, Wyoming to parents Joe Ramon Alonzo and Mary Marcelina Duran. She lived in Nyssa, Oregon where she grew up, graduated, and found her love of God. While visiting a church in Nampa, Idaho, she met the love of her life Cristobal Ybarra Limas. They were married for 35 loving years, settling in Nampa and eventually moving to Deridder, Louisiana. They spent their lives as missionaries, spreading the love of the gospel and of Jesus to those around them and various churches in Mexico.
After the passing of her husband, Elena moved to live with her son in Salt Lake City, Utah where she lived the rest of her days in peace. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to an ever-growing family; and had many friends that she made during her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mary Alonzo, as well as her husband Cristobal Limas. She is survived in death by her siblings Nettie Burgess (Mark), Raymond Alonzo (Silvia), Rosie Alonzo, Charlie Alonzo, Josefina Alonzo, Angie Resendez (Leno), and Margret Scheideman (Dameieon).
