Helen VanGroningen's Obituary
Born January 5, 1943 in Omaha, Nebraska and passed away March 20, 2017, in West Valley City, Utah with her family by her side. Daughter of George and Helen Weissgerber. Married to John VanGroningen in September 1983. She lived in Nebraska as a cashier for Manards until she moved to Utah in 2007, where she worked at Family Dollar as a cashier and assistant manager. She had a heart of gold, she spent many years taking care of her disabled uncle Leonard until his death, and would do anything to help anyone. She loved her dogs, Gizmo and Tootsie. She liked to go shopping, fishing, take trips to Wendover, and plant flowers.
She is survived by her daughter Debbie (Jay) Busch and her sister Lorene Johnson, and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Proceeded in death both parents, and husband and her uncle.
