Heliana DeLos Agneles Parra's Obituary
Heliana Parra passed from this life on August 24th, 2020 at the age of 85. She was born December 22, 1934 in Talcahuano, Chile and was the one and only child to her parents, Ernesto and Elena. Much of her childhood was something of a mystery and the result of those years created a woman who was strong, independent, and a curator of all things fabulous. She was married to Sergio Lira on January 7, 1954 and together they started a family which included five children. Heliana was a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother and began her new adventure as an immigrant to the US in 1987. She worked hard to be independent and enjoyed the successes of her life. She thrived in being independent and showering those she loved with gifts. Some of her favorite activities were shopping, tending plants and pets, walking the streets of downtown Salt Lake City, and hosting her family over for meals. She is survived by her children; Elena, Flavia (Juan), Eliana (Kerry), Alejandra (Troy), and Sergio. Her nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in her death by her beloved mother and father, a grandson, and her beloved pets. Graveside services will be held Friday, August 28th, 11:00 am at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, with a private viewing prior at the mortuary.
