Henry Begaye Jr.'s Obituary
Henry Begaye Jr. transitioned from this physical world to the spirit world at the age of 79, just
three days shy of his 80th birthday.
Henry was known for his quiet strength, traditional values, and creative spirit. With a strong
work ethic and a rolling stone attitude, he spent years traveling the country as an Iron Worker.
A true lover of Native American art, Henry expressed himself through many mediums, but
was especially talented at creating chalk-style portraits. He was also known for his sharp wit
and inappropriate but always memorable jokes.
He cherished time spent with family, especially when it involved watching football (Raiders &
Utah Utes). Game days were filled with food, family and laughs. He made the very best ribs.
Above all, Henry will be remembered for the kind of grandfather he was. Though not always
expressive with words, he showed his love through his presence, steady support, and the
wisdom he passed on to his grandchildren.
Henry will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by those who knew him best.
