Henry G Dahse's Obituary
Hank was a simple man. He lived a quiet life with unshakable optimism. A proud Army serviceman, Hank served his country in the 1970s and ‘80s, keeping a sense of duty and independence that shaped who he was long after his service ended.
Those who knew Hank knew his playful energy and easy charm. He would easily win over neighbors and new friends, asking little of others and never taking more than he needed. He loved reading, movies, cooking, and took pride in keeping spaces tidy. Small acts reflected his self-respect and care for the world around him. Hank loved the people in his life honestly and without demands. He was easy to befriend, steadfast in his affection, and quietly loyal.
In the last few years, when health challenges made independence harder, accepting help did not come easily. Hank would treat his healthcare like a job to be done well. He was dutiful to his nurses, and determined to keep going. Even on his last day, Hank showed no interest in giving up—he was ready to storm the halls of his care facility alongside new friends, making the most of every moment.
Hank joins his mother Linda Yeiter, his father Henry Dahse Sr, & his sister Sherrill Nunley. He was an amazing uncle; always thoughtful, mindful, caring, and a great listener.
His sudden loss is felt with a heavy heart, especially by those who cared for him, listened to his hopes, fought for him, and stood beside him with gratitude for the support he received.
Hank is remembered for his resilience, his warmth, and the simple, honorable way he lived his life.
