Howard Eugene Goodell
1935-2021
Loved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Howard Goodell passed away on August 22, 2021 in the presence of his family who will forever love and miss him. Howard was born August 15, 1935 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Charles and Anna Goodell.
Howard married his sweetheart Janice Dean, June 2, 1957. They were sealed together for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City temple September 14, 1958 and were blessed with eight children. Howard served In the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Howard was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served the Lord valiantly in various callings such as ward clerk, bishop and was a Jordan River Temple worker for 9 years. Howard was devoted to his wife and family. Howard believed that any job worth doing was worth doing well.
Howard is survived by his loving wife Jan, children Jana (Gary), Michael (Jana), Jeffrey (Lori), Lori, Andrea (Darrell), Juli (Shane), Cathi (Michael), 19 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father, mother, daughter, Joni, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Howard is loved and will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held on August 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mackay Meadows Ward 2976 W Winchester Dr. West Valley City, Utah. There will be a viewing from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Internment: West Lawn Cemetery, Gering, Nebraska.
