Howard Morgan Taylor's Obituary
Howie Taylor hits his final home run!
Howard M. Taylor made it around the bases of life to return to his Heavenly Father April 25, 2015. Howard is the son of Vaughn H. and Ivy M. Taylor born in Salt Lake City on June 11, 1936. He graduated from South High and went to Utah State University on a baseball scholarship, graduating from there in 1960, the first of his family to get a college degree. Although he was recruited into the Minor Leagues he decided to pursue a career in business instead. He worked for Texaco for a number of years before following his dream to be his own boss and start a small business. A talented salesman he sold everything from insurance to water softeners. He married Pamela Maxwell in 1958, later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with six children. Howard continued his love of sports, particularly golf and baseball, throughout his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Russell H. (Rusty), a sister Sharon Taylor, and a great-grandson Hunter E. Eldredge. He is survived by his wife; daughters Darle, Janice, Nancy (Jim), Linda, and Tracy; his sisters Marilyn Hadley, Pat (Bob) Marz, Marge (Brant) Barlow, and his dear brother Leonard Taylor; 4 grandchildren and their spouses, 2 great-grandchildren, many extended family members and friends. The family wishes to thank CNS Hospice Care – especially John, Marina, and Janet.
