Ileen was our neighbor for over 50 years, she was among the first to welcome our family into the neighborhood when we moved in . When we were young spending time with Nancy and Julie in their home , she always was welcoming and good natured. In these later years as ibwoukd come to visit my mom I'd see ileen walking down the side walk ,keeping tabs on the neighbors. I was fun to stop and talk and chat up on the news around the old neighborhood. She was a friend to all, a true neighbor. Her presence has been missed . I'm happy for her now to be reunited with so many loved ones and to be able to hear again and have all her memories restored. AUFWEIDERSEHEN UNSER LIEBER NACHBAR!

Many times I was the recipient of Aunt Ileen's love and generosity. She always made her home a warm and welcoming haven to come and visit and even put me up for a night or two on more than one occasion. She always had and shared leftovers or rolls or cookies. She has a gift of conversation such that she could ask you all about your comings and goings and doings and you could share all and never felt judged. My wife enjoyed her equally and we always came to visit each semester to check in and catch up on the family. She was always in-the-know on so much that was going on in her kids' and others lives. I was always surprised by how much she served and how many groups and activities she was involved with. She lived an inspiring exemplary life of how we should all aspire to live. I am thankful to have had her in my life and will miss her.

I don't ever remember a time when Ileen didn't have a smile, a hug or a positive comment. She was following in the footsteps of her wonderful Mom & Dad as she went about being cheerful and optimistic. Ileen didn't need to be praised as she went about serving and cooking and providing a wonderful home for all that stopped in to visit. Our visits often included songs and piano pieces and always encouragement. I didn't know Ileen as a sister but my mom (Phyllis) did and how she loved to get together and visit even if my dad(Marvin) didn't always want to stay and talk, he knew how much it meant to the "sisters" and would stay so they could catch up as we traveled through Provo. As an aunt, I found Ileen ready, willing and able to do almost anything anyone proposed. She was fun loving and inclusive and just wanted everyone to have a fun time. She is one of the quiet hero's who bless our lives and will be missed and admired forever. Ileen you are an example of Christlike charity and I can only hope to be able to live after the way you have lived. You are a blessing and very much loved. Thank you! Merilyn White Warner
I was one of those she graciously let stay with her while finishing up school, and I loved the sweet time with her as she shared many of the wonderful characteristics of my grandma (Phyllis White) -- kind, thoughtful, and pure. The way she treated others and spoke about her family demonstrated her deep love and reliance on the Lord.
