Ilene Diane Tea's Obituary
In the early morning hours of June 24th, 2023, Ilene Diane Tea returned home to her Heavenly Father
after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.
Diane was born on March 16th, 1949, in Arcadia, California to Walter and Florence Ewell. She grew up in
Union, Utah, and was the 2nd of 8 children. Diane married the love of her life, Michael Harvey Tea, in the
Salt Lake Temple on March 13, 1970. She was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Her family was everything to her, and she devoted her life to raising happy and healthy children and
grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Diane was an active and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints. Her love of music was shared through many of her church callings. She had an unwavering
testimony, and she loved the Savior with all her heart. For her, life was a gift, and trials were simply
opportunities to learn and to grow. Her positive attitude through all of life’s struggles was extraordinary
and inspiring, and will forever be a source of strength to all who knew her. She was our light and our
example, and she will be greatly missed.
