Ineke Marie Dennies' Obituary
Ineke Marie Dennies, age 42, of Salt Lake Valley, left this world on December 18th 2025. A woman of fierce spirit and daring courage, she died by suicide after a brave battle with Depression, Mental Health Illness, Bi-Polar Disorder, and Multiple Personality Disorder.
Ineke was never one to live life on the sidelines. She was fearless, known for her adventurous soul and her ability to take on any challenge. To know Ineke was to know a force of nature. She was daring and bold, living life with an intensity that inspired those around her. Yet, her toughest exterior was reserved for protecting others. She channeled that strength into a career of compassion, working as a dedicated caregiver for adults with special needs. She advocated for those who couldn't advocate for themselves. As a caregiver, she showed a depth of patience and love that defined her character.
Ineke lived her life with an open heart. Known as a true gatherer of people, she was loved by everyone who crossed her path. Her children were the center of her world, and she never missed an opportunity to show up and support them in everything they did. That legacy of love grew even stronger with her five grandchildren, who were the light of her life and the lucky recipients of her endless 'Best Ma'amMaw' energy.
She is survived by her parents Sonia Liston and Curtis Dennies. As well as her little sister who she was so grateful to finally meet Elizabeth Cordier.
She brought six children into this world.
She is survived by the children she raised: Haley Dennies, Jeremy Culp, Felicitey Ellingsworth, Heavenly Vasquez, Genevieve Freitas and her birth son, Travis Turner, whom she loved from afar and was grateful to know.
Her legacy also lives on through her five grandchildren: Survando Ballard, Mozzy Trip, Xena Trip, Camila Ruiz and Emilio Ruiz who will miss her energy and spirit.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you honor Ineke's memory by checking in on your loved ones, holding your dear ones a little closer, and speaking openly and bravely about mental health. Please take a moment to check on a friend and advocate for mental health awareness. Let us break the silence together, just as she would have wanted. She believed in the power of connection, and your kindness to one another is the greatest tribute you could offer.
