Ingeborg Helga Gellersen Lang
1928 - 2016
Our beloved Wife, Mother, Oma, Aunt and Friend passed away peacefully in her home Sunday June 19, 2016 from cancer.
She was born August 18, 1928 in Stade Germany to Gustav Louis Gellersen and Helene Peters Gellersen.
Her family converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1931. Inge was baptized on July 4th 1937. She served an honorable mission in Munich/ Frankfurt, Germany. She emigrated to the United States in 1956. Inge met and fell in love with Delbert Hardman Lang. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 28, 1957. She served her whole life in the LDS church. She was a proud and dedicated mother. Her children and grandchildren were the joy of her life. Inge enjoyed cooking wonderful German meals and planting flowers in her beautiful garden. She had a sharp wit and a good sense of who she was. We will miss her terribly.
She is survived by her husband Delbert, her children Debra Perkins(Alan) Brenda Bott(Robert) Gordon Lang (Sharon) and Sonya Lang. She is also survived by her grandchildren Aubrey, Kieran, David, John Edward, Kate, Claire, Nicole, Johnathan, Brittany, Geoffrey, Nadia, Adam, Jasmine, Anthony, Hakim, Celeste, Nathan, Madison and great grandchildren Kol, Luk, Liv, Ismayl, Ayat and Juwayria. Preceded in death by her daughter Stacy and her grandson Gregory.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Bountiful East Stake Center, 650 East 2150 South, Bountiful, Utah where a viewing will be held Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturday prior to services from 9:45 to 10:45 am. Interment in the Bountiful City Cemetery.
