Irene M McDonald's Obituary
Irene Mabel McDonald, our loving dearest Mother, Grandmother, great Grandmother and Sister, has returned to our Father in Heaven and into the arms of her beloved husband and eternal companion Jule. Our mother Irene passed away on April 7, 2011 at Sandy regional care center. Irene was especially devoted to her adored, and much loved children of eight. Her life was spent in the service of loving and caring for her family, they always came first. She was most content spending time with family members, sharing her laughter, knowledge and memories of us all. She had a great love for music and had many talents. She loved the Lord and had great faith in him. She was a faithful and devoted member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints. She and her Dear husband served together as missionaries both for their stake and for the Murray canary. She was a faithful primary teacher & visiting teacher. She was always found helping and assisting others with her patience and love. Irene lived most of her life in Murray and West Jordan Utah and for a short time lived in California, Ohio and Genola Utah. Irene worked over 25 yrs as an Avon Sales rep. She also sold books for Illustrated Story's Publications. She really enjoyed working with people. The twinkle in her eyes along with her precious smile and the love and companionship she so freely conveyed, will be most missed by her family. Irene was born in Murray Utah, on May 26th, 1924. She married her beloved Julius Marion McDonald on January 27th, 1943, in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all Eternity. Irene is survived by her children; Oldest son David J. & Kelly McDonald of Washington Utah, Roger McDonald; Murray Utah, Rex & Diane Smith of New Harmony Utah, Kathy Ernst of Taylorsville Utah, Mark McDonald of Taylorsville Utah, Bruce R. & Christy McDonald of West Jordan Utah. Also survived by her brother William K. & Marsha Stone, Jules sister Beverly Nunez and her dear family. Also survided 22 grand children and 36 great grand children with one great great grandchild on the way. Presided by death are her parents; Henry James and Mabel Leone Stone, her sister Eleanor Mc Callister, her brother Donald H. Stone, her husband Julius McDonald, oldest daughter Julene S. McDonald and son Brent M. McDonald. All who knew her and loved her, will deeply miss her and we will embrace and cherish her memory all of our lives. The viewing will be held on Thursday April 14th from 6:00-8:00 PM at the LDS Chapel at 5605 So.Vine Street (approx. 700 East). Funeral services will be on Friday, April 15th at the same building at 11:00 AM. Family and friends may visit one hour before the services.
