Irene May Pike's Obituary
Irene passed away peacefully at home November 26, 2014. She was born May 7, 1938 in Anaconda, Montana to John Wesley McCoy and Dorothy May McCoy Williams. Both have passed away. Irene had one brother Wesley Alvin McCoy who also passed away.
Irene attended school in Anaconda, Montana. She married Jerry Vetsch in 1956; later divorced. They had three children, Jerrene Nelson, Monica Evenson and Connie Perkins.
She married her best friend, Richard Pike in 1975. Together Irene and Richard operated Utah Auto Parts Co. until they retired in 1998. They moved to St. George, Utah and traveled a great deal in their 5th wheel. They owned property in Florence, Arizona where they enjoyed the Jeep group very much. Irene and Richard enjoyed their home and friends in St. George, prior to moving to Salt Lake City in 2010. Irene’s beloved Richard passed away December 2011.
Throughout Irene’s life she enjoyed many hobbies, raising birds, making porcelain dolls, Swedish weave and working in her garden. Irene was also a member of the Red Hat Society and an active member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine.
Irene has five grandchildren, Angie, Brent, Lyndsey, Austin, Jessica and three great-grandchildren, Cody, Mya and Taylor.
There will be no public services.
