Isabelle Cabello Powell's Obituary
Isabelle was born in Liege, Belgium to Spanish born parents, father - Antonio Cabello Carrasco -(3/3/33 – 8/1/13), mother - Isabel Vasquez Barea (1/14/32 – 11/10/16). Her childhood was challenging however, she came through it only to blossom into the caring, loving and beautiful woman that once known, could never be forgotten.
Isabelle struggled her whole life with ailments that seemed to plague her but the causes were unknown. These issues exploded into a full-blown autoimmune disorder known as Scleroderma. Followed by Sjogren’s Syndrome, Arterial Pulmonary Hypertension, Interstitial Lung Disease and a plethora of other issues. Isabelle was told by the doctor that she had won the lottery (which was amusing to Isabelle). Isabelle took her health issues with an open heart and lots of prayers. Isabelle’s last struggle was with Cancer, she fought it hard and at one point it appeared to be gone, but came roaring back only to steal her away from all of us.
Despite her health struggles, Isabelle was full of life. She courageously raised three strong daughters creating wonderful memories with them. She could spark up a conversation with anybody. She loved to tell stories about her daughters, husband, and her life experiences. Her stories were always filled with a beautiful blend of comedy, magic, and a flair for the dramatic. Through it all she was vibrant, free, loving and fun. Her laugh and smile came through to whomever were lucky enough to experience it leaving an indelible impression on all who she encountered. There is something about Isabelle. Some romance… some power. For those who loved her the most she leaves this world a little too flat, too simple, too fair, too reasonable.
Isabelle is survived by her husband Jenkyn A. Powell (spouse), Daughters, Jessica Imamura (Nathan Imamura – spouse), grandchildren (Carter & Marley), Vanessa Manisela (Julius – spouse), grandchildren (Kiara & Aaron), Kassandra Harrison, and (her stepchildren), Elijah Powell and Brin Bon, grandchildren (Noah, Aristotle, and Mary Francis).
Also, Joe Wills (divorced), and Eugene Harrison (deceased).
