Iva JoAnne Morgan's Obituary
The sun rose on January 11,1940 and sadly set on March 21, 2014. Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend has now returned to her Heavenly Father. Iva JoAnne Chambers Morgan was born to Marjory and Clifford Chambers in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended Granite High School and married Robert B. Morgan on October 23, 1957. They later divorced. JoAnne was a long time resident of Salt Lake City. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had a great and profound love for her Savior. Our mother loved, loved, loved her cats, she was a wonderful cook and could sew anything. She loved any and all kinds of jewelry and we can't forget about her unhealthy love for QVC. She loved to garden and had quite the green thumb. She gave the warmest hugs and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was the most unselfish person you would ever meet and had a beautiful smile that would brighten your day but, most importantly she was the best mother to her 4 children. JoAnne leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her children, Melissa (Steve) Anderson, Cory Robert (Kelli) Morgan, Cynthia Yazzie and Amanda (Brandon) Murray, and she was blessed with 14 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Leslie (Lamonte) Hansen. And, many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Clive and daughter Tabitha. Mother Your death will leave a big void in our hearts. We will forever appreciate the valuable life lesson's that you instilled in us. You are a shining gem to each of your children. You cast a gift into our hearts that would be as giving as a gift from the angels. We appreciate the love you have shown to each of us and will forever cherish and keep it close to our hearts. You are going to be missed beyond what words can express. We love you so much. The family would like to express their gratitude and most sincere thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at the University of Utah hospital for their wonderful care and to all others who helped in caring for our mother. JoAnne requested a graveside service which will be held Wednesday, March 26th at 1:00 PM at Elysian Burial Gardens. 1075 E 4580 S Salt Lake City, Utah 84117.
