Marilyn and Family, What a great man and teacher Jack was. He was one of my favorite high school teachers, I had him for several classes and remember him as always caring and interested in his students. And he was a patriotic civil servant---he looked for ways to improve life in Spanish Fork and was successful at it. I hope your family finds peace and comfort at this time. Jack has. Bishop Leifson had a tremendous influence for good in my life and the life of my husband, Barry. He will always be remembered with appreciation.
I have fond memories of Mr.Leifson as a teacher at Sp. Fork High School. Mr. Leifson always had a smile on his face and seemed to find humor in much that happened in class.He always had time to talk to anyone that needed a listening ear. I appreciate all that I learned from him as a teacher including the great example he was. I hope the memories will help you trough this time. My thoughts are with you and yoru family. Teacher, friend, mentor, example, Jack was all of these to me. He first taught and inspired me to better myself, and follow a dream. Mentored me when life gave me challenges. He was an example of service, always serving others. Friend was someone I could count on to tell me straight and be honest. I have missed him, but know he is with a loving Heavenly Father. Mr. Leifson was one of my favorite teachers at Spanish Fork High School. He was not only a wonderful teacher, but a great man. He will be missed by many!
I'm so sorry to see the passing of Mr. Leifson. He shaped my life. Because of him, I learned to think critically and independently of what was happening in the world around me. Jack is a friend that had a great influence on my life. He was always positive. You can't be too positive. Jack taught me that truth. My father loved Jack and would talk about how they fished at Strawberry. All i can say is my heart is filled with gratitude for his help.
