Jack Lewis Nelson's Obituary
Jack Lewis Nelson 1942-2022
Salt Lake City, UT-Jack Passed away at the age of 79 on May 14, 2022. He was born August 10, 1942 in Salt Lake City. Jack graduated from Olympus High School in 1960. He was a hard worker doing landscaping, excavating and he owned Best Towing which he sold after 20 plus years to retire. He was a car guy from an early age and won many awards for the cars he built for himself and others.
Despite his gruff exterior he had a huge heart and was always willing to help. He had any tool you needed and knew right where to find it in his plus size garage. He loved spending time there tinkering on his cars, Harley’s as well as a variety of fun projects and even smiled through gritted teeth when he got to work on his kids cars. He loved laughing with the grandkids when they rode up and down on his hydraulic jack and “helping” him with his projects. And without a doubt they would always come home with some sort of garage treasure.
He also enjoyed spending time at the property, camping with family and friends and gold mining with his brothers. They had a good laugh when they found out one trip was at a silver mine.
He loved jumping in his motorhome and traveling to new places and exploring new things with his wife Connie until her passing.
