Jacob George Vigil's Obituary
He was born March 6, 1944 in Del Norte, CO. He died February 15, 2024 in Ogden, UT. He was the son of Perfecto Vigil and Dora Allen Vigil. On October 14, 2003 he married Claudia Woody and she died on November 21, 2010. He attended Ogden City Schools and was a member of the Ben Lomond High School football team. His favorite Clans, of course were Dance Clan and the “parking lot clan”. He later joined the U.S. Army. After his service he followed the example of his father and became a Boilermaker by trade. He retired from the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Union 182.
George’s passions were cars, trucks and motorcycles and a few other pastimes not to be mentioned here. He could assemble a Harley Davidson with his eyes blindfolded. (at least in his early years). And, the same was true regarding classic cars and trucks. Most of George’s friends were lifelong friends who enjoyed life to the fullest with him. To this date, there is NO shortage of George stories. In the end, he just wore out every nut and bolt of his being.
George leaves behind his siblings and their spouses and one son. Connie Daily (Mike), Richard Vigil, Patricia Vigil Olsen (Keld). His son, Jeff Sandstrom. Many nieces, nephews, favorite uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and wife Claudia, Nana, Boots, and Karma.
Funeral arrangements were by Premier Funeral Services. There will be a gathering of friends and family at later date.
