First things first...
I’d like to offer my deepest condolences to Jackie’s close friends and family.
I met Jackie when I was 14 or 15 years old. She was a friend of my sisters and we instantly connected through comedy.
I remember having a very deep conversation we had together during a time when I wasn’t speaking to my grandparents (whom are basically parents to me).
Jackie listened without judgment of my adolescent frustrations.
She shared that she was very close with her grandmother and could understand where I was coming from, but could also understand where my grandparents was coming from. She was completely unbiased and was not afraid to tell me how it was (even if I didn’t want to hear it lol)
This meant a lot to me. Jackie was one of the first adults outside of my family that cared about my situation and offered solutions.
She ALWAYS encouraged viewing situations from another persons perspective and forgiveness.
As years moved on we sadly lost touch.
Luckily we reconnected early last year via Facebook.
I wish I would have reached out to express my gratitude.
Jackie you made a positive impact on my life by simply being you. I’ll forever be grateful.
I hope we can reconnect and talk about fire trucks on the other side my friend. ❤️
