Jakob Geisser's Obituary
Jakob Geisser, lovingly known as Jake Geisser, peacefully passed away on February 1, 2024, at the age of 74 in West Valley City, UT surrounded by his children and wife. Born on April 12, 1949, in Wurtenberg, W. Germany, Jake was a devoted father, a self-taught and motivated individual, and a compassionate mentor.
Jake is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Star Geisser, his children Nikketta (Cyle) Geisser, Kascee (Eric) Haro, Kj (Camille) Kennington. He was adored by his grandchildren Myla, Sonny, Mili, Royal, Saylor, Melaya, Maes, and his beloved four-legged fur babies. Jake is also survived by his sister Veronika (Mike) Berg, brother Peter (Karen) Geisser, niece Stefanie (James) Pelligrini, and nephew Ross Geisser. He was preceded in death by his father Jakob Geisser and mother Stefanie Geisser.
Jake proudly served in the US Army as a flight Medical Specialist. His commitment and excellence were recognized with awards including the National Defense Service Medal, Exemplary Conduct Medal, and Sharpshooter (Rifle) distinction.
After falling in love with the snowy mountains of Utah, Jake became an official resident in 1979. He embarked on a successful career as a self-taught business owner, running G&G Motorcycle Services for over 40 years. Jake's expertise and knowledge made him a mentor to many young racers, leaving a lasting impact on the racing community.
Those who knew Jake will remember his passion for motorcycles, which began at a young age. He made his mark at the Bonneville Race Way/Rocky Mountain Raceway, where he exceeded in chasing points with his family by his side. Winning nationals and bringing home a Wally Trophy was one of his greatest accomplishments. Jake also enjoyed challenging rounds of golf with family and friends.
A celebration of Jake's life will be held in his honor at the Mick Riley Golf Course Clubhouse, located at 421 E Vine Street, Murray, UT 84104 from 6-9 PM on February 9th 2024. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Geisser family via Venmo @nikkettageisser.
Jake Geisser's legacy of love, strength, and compassion will forever live on through his children. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
