James Walter Anderson's Obituary
James Walter Anderson, son of Albert (deceased) and Lynnea Anderson of Tucson, Arizona, died in Provo on May 2, 2024. James was born in Phoenix, Arizona on Nov. 19, 1958, and the family lived in Phoenix, Pine, and Tucson, Arizona. Jim had four brothers and three sisters: David (Tammy) Anderson, Teresa (deceased), Jonathan (Georgina) Anderson, , Mark (Tiffany) Anderson, Sara (Mark) Cysewski, Corey Anderson, and Sheila (DJ) Borst.
Jim was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in North and South Dakota. He earned an associate's degree in business from Pima Community College. He loved to carry "pass-along cards" to tell others about the gospel. He also worked diligently on family history work and loved teaching others how to find their ancestors. He was very knowledgeable about all music. His favorite calling was Music Director for his ward. He loved to attend Education Days and other events. He was involved in music and video production in Provo. Jim overcame any obstacles placed in his way and advocated for improvements in transportation and accessibility for the disabled in Provo. He even ran for mayor on that platform.
Jim loved people, and Provo was good to him. The family deeply appreciates those who have so kindly and unselfishly sacrificed time and effort to serve him, take him to wonderful places, give him conversation, freedom, and love, and enrich his life. Thank you from all our hearts.
