James Edward Daly's Obituary
James Edward Daly
August 13, 1981 - April 29, 2020
James Edward Daly, 38, of Sandy, Utah, left this world too soon on April 29, 2020. While his time here on earth was brief, he left an imprint on our hearts.
James was born on August 13, 1981 in Brooklyn, New York. He also called home to Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey; Wilmington, North Carolina; and San Francisco, California, before settling in Sandy, Utah.
James was a beautiful, kind and loving soul. He loved his family and dogs, and he was a proud uncle to his three young nephews. James was a devoted friend to many. He was quick-witted and made others smile. He enjoyed music, writing, movies and baseball (Go, Giants!), and he had many other interests and talents. James cared about people, animals, and the environment, and he took great pride in his work and service to others. He loved being in nature and found peace in the mountains.
James is survived by his loving mother, Evelyn Daly; sister, Ann (Marty) Burgermyer; brother, Frank (Amber) Daly; nephews, Louis Burgermyer, Mark Burgermyer, and Jackson Daly; best friend and spiritual brother, Whit Musselwhite; and his beloved dogs, Brego and Dozer. He also leaves behind a large extended family and many friends. His father, Frank Daly, Jr., predeceased him in 2007, as well as all his grandparents.
Our loss is profound, but we take comfort in knowing that James and his dad are together again, laughing amongst the stars. The little prince will forever be our king of hearts. Shine brightly, sweetest James. We shall see you again!
